Player Conduct
Toward Team
EACH player of this program is expected to assume a
leadership role multiple times throughout every game and
practice.
A leader
displays confidence, devoid of arrogance.
A leader
maintains poise under pressure.
A leader
speaks only “positives” and instructs others through
example.
A leader
inspires all to elevate their game.
Players will….
Pass to the open player
Hustle to defend
Demonstrate qualities of
a leader
All players, not just captains, are expected to “support
and report” to coaches incidences of:
Hazing, sexual or racial harassment, use of
performance-enhancing drugs
Concern for the well being of a fellow teammate is part
of being on a team

Coaching Guidelines
We are a program in relentless pursuit of success
through recruitment of talent, player development, and
retention of players in our program. Emphasis and
monitoring of academic progress is an integral part of
our commitment to the Westview Roller Hockey Program.
Player selection and placement in the Westview Roller
Hockey program is carried out by the Coaching Staff. All
questions and discussions in this area are the soul
responsibility of these coaches and ultimately the Head
Coach. In addition, player movement during the season
among all teams in the program is carried out by the
Varsity Coaching Staff.
Coaching staff changes are the responsibility of the
Varsity Coach and the Westview Athletic Director.
Player development and retention is a fundamental aspect
of this program. A positive supportive atmosphere
through well planned practices and games are essential
to achieving these goals. Coaches work toward the
improvement of the Roller Hockey Program and not
exclusively for the advancement of the individual team
they coach. These items include coordinated practice
planning to maximize resources such as rink time and
equipment for all players and teams.
Coach’s conduct on and away from the rink will at all
times be professional and model the behavior we expect
of our players.
Expectations and guidelines for parent/player/coach
interactions are detailed in the Westview Athletic Hand
Book as well as by the “Victory With Honor” program.
