Troupe
Westview Dance Troupe is an auditioned
group comprised of students who have achieved a high level of dance
technique; the students can be members of a competitive team, and
must also be committed to perfecting dance skills in class as well
as in extra rehearsals. Performance is one of the main components of
this course; the Westview Dance Troupe continues to be in demand at
school performances, as well as throughout the community. Every
consideration is given to the development of these skilled
performers who will be able to use their talents in post-secondary
endeavors.
Westview Dance Troupe exists to provide opportunities for dancers
who have the talent, commitment and dedication to succeed not only
as dancers but as young women. It is our hope that by engaging in
performances, competitions, travel, choreography and master classes
we will inspire and guide the students to a deeper appreciation for
their dance as an art form. Emphasis will be placed on performance
of all genres in a variety of settings. This will hopefully aid
students in bringing their personal stories to life via their dance
talent.
