Signing up for Family Connection

In the counseling department, we use an Internet-based program called Naviance as a means of communication with families.  Through Family Connection, which is part of the Naviance program, we will be providing some of the following services:

• Weekly electronic newsletters on counseling events happening on and off campus
• Student and parent access to important student data, such as GPA, class rank, counselor name, etc.
• Planning for future beyond high school
• Online registration of high school courses for the following school year
• Access to college information for past graduates, such as acceptance and attendance rates (all information protects the identity of each student)
• "Scattergrams" that compare your academic history to that of other students who have attended Westview to determine your likelihood for college acceptance
• Access to scholarships with information about past scholarship winners
• College visitation schedule on Westview’s campus, with information on how to attend
• Assistance for those students that would like more guidance, such as those who are not sure what they will be doing after graduation or who would like more assistance in developing a goal
• And so much more! 

To sign up for an account, please send an e-mail to kbloomfield@powayusd.com.  In the e-mail, include all of the following:

1)     Name of Student, ID Number and student e-mail address

2)     Name of each parent wanting an account as well as each e-mail address

If you have an account, go to http://connection.naviance.com/westview to access Family Connection.  If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link to reset.  You must have an e-mail address in the system for this to work.  Otherwise, contact Kathy Bloomfield at kbloomfield@powayusd.com to reset your password.

If you are not a Westview student/parent, you may access the program using the Guest Entrance feature.  Go to the sign on page and click on the “Enter as a Guest” button.  You will be able to view limited information as a guest user.
