Good evening Valley Parents,
This is Dr. Johnsen calling
with updates for next week.
Please join our partners
from Cal State San Marcos for Family Science night next Monday, Oct. 24th.
The FREE event begins with refreshments at 6:30 and with science explorations at
7:00. Parents will learn how to conduct experiments with their children
using common household items. Students will break out into groups to conduct
their own experiments.
All those who attended this
event last year had a great time! Prizes will be raffled at the end
of the evening! You won't want to miss the fun!
Our annual PTA sponsored
Boogie Bash will be held next Friday, October 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the MPR.
Families, please join us for music, dance, snacks and a costume parade.
Admission is free and snacks will be available for a nominal cost.
We look
forward to seeing you there!
Please note that students
will be allowed to wear costumes to school on Monday the 31st – not
on the 28th. Friday the 28th will be college spirit
day as usual. Kids, when school lets out be sure to go home, get your
costumes on and come back for the Boogie Bash at 6:30.
A message
from the Valley Foundation: We're about halfway to reaching our immediate
technology goals but there's still more to be done to put us across the finish
line. One of the ways to help is to volunteer. If you would like to join the
Foundation as a board member -- we currently have 4 positions open -- or project
volunteer, please contact board president, Megan Schirmacher by going online to
the foundation web site at
www.ValleyEEF.org and sending her an
email from there. Together we can truly make a difference for every child at
Valley!
That’s all for this week. Thank you and have a nice evening.
