7th Grade Information

Seventh grade is the first step for students into "upper grades" and is a time for beginning to develop responsibility for school work and materials.  To help you and your student make the transition, here are a few reminders about seventh grade requirements.

Late work may be accepted for half credit according to course and teacher requirements. Missed work due to absence is due the next class period for one day absences.  Extended absences require the student to conference with the teacher to set a reasonable due date.  Long term assignments are due on the assigned date.  See your planner and/or PUSD Board policy for more information.

Since the purpose of homework is to practice, reinforce or apply acquired skills and knowledge, it is to be completed on the day it is assigned, the "Do Day."  Students should not procrastinate until the night before the "Due Day."  Again, see the PUSD Board Policy for more information. To help parents plan for seventh grade, we would like you to be aware of the following activities and expenses so you will be able to plan ahead.
