Dear Turtleback Families,

This is going to be a fantastic year! To those families who are new to our wonderful community, I extend a hearty welcome. To those of you who are returning, we are so happy to have you with us again and I know you will reach out to our new families.  

I am one of the newest Terrapins. As many of you have heard, the previous principal, Charmaine Lawson, is pursuing an irresistible opportunity to share her talents at the San Diego County Office of Education. Mrs. Lawson has been a tremendous help to me making sure we will have a smooth opening of school.   

By way of a brief introduction, I have been an educator for over 14 years, most recently as an administrator at Mt. Carmel High School. My passion is helping teachers learn and grow so they can bring the best out of your children. I have such faith in our fabulous staff that I’m bringing my own two children into the Turtleback family.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and am truly grateful to be the principal of the best elementary school around!
