GENERAL INFORMATION
Enrollment for new students in kindergarten through fifth grade who plan to attend Turtleback for the 2008-09 school year will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 8:30 – 11:30 am.  Please bring the appropriate enrollment forms and documentation with you to the multi-purpose room.
 
  • The Turtleback office will be open Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 – 11:30 am thru Friday, June 20.

  • The office will be closed for enrollment June 23 thru August 1. 

  • The office will reopen for enrollment beginning Monday, August 4, 9:30 – 11:30. 

  • Due to unforeseen District meetings, the office may need to be closed additional days.  Dates will be posted on office door. If your enrollment forms and documentation are NOT RETURNED prior to June 20, your child may not be guaranteed class placement at Turtleback School in August.

 
NEW STUDENT - PARENT TOUR
On Wednesday, August 13 at 8:30 am the Turtleback PTA will host a tour of the school.  There will be a brief orientation meeting in the multi-purpose room before breaking into groups for a guided tour of Turtleback School.  We will have Family Ambassadors who speak many different languages available to guide your tour.   Please contact Anne Le Reverend, Family Ambassador Coordinator, at (858) 672-7732 or annelaure@usa.net if you would like the tour given in your native language.
 
All STUDENT REGISTRATION FOR CONTINUING AND NEW STUDENTS...the District is implementing a new and simpler way to register your child online for the 2008-2009 school year. More information to follow.
 
CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
Due to the new online registration process, class assignments will be communicated via Connect Ed automated phone message system. Please make sure the office has your correct home phone number.
 
VOLUNTEER BADGE PICTURES
The school photographer will be on campus Tuesday, August 19, 2008 from 7:30 - 9:30 am to take pictures of current Turtleback volunteers who have been Megan's Law cleared and have a current TB Skin Test on file with the office. The photo studio will be making badges for us this year. Please turn in your old badge if you have not already done so. You are required to wear your badge every time you are on campus. Please join us for donuts and coffee and have your picture taken when you bring your child in on the first day of school.
 
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL - TUESDAY, AUGUST 19
 In an effort to ensure the success of the first day, kindergarten parents are requested to accompany their child for a brief orientation at beginning of their regular scheduled time.
