This extended-day program extends the excellence of each child's school experience into before and after school.
ESS is staffed by highly-qualified professionals and trained instructional assistants. The staff provides for the academic and social needs of children in safe and nurturing environments. There is time, space, encouragement, and support for learning good study habits.

ESS is closed on the following holidays: Martin Luther King Day, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (3 days), Christmas (1 week), and New Year's Day. The programs are closed on ESS Professional Development days in June (2 days), August (2 days) and Sept (1 day).
Friendly Reminder:
ESS hours are from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. A late fee of $1 per minute per child will be
charged for any late pick ups. Our staff have family commitments of their own and
appreciate your cooperation. Only authorized signers with a picture ID will be allowed to
take children from ESS.
Absences:
Please inform ESS in the event your child will not be attending so we can account for all
your children at check in time after school. The ESS phone number is 748-9229, or you

Homework:
Homework time is 3:15 - 4:00 Monday through Thursday.
It is a quiet time where students have the opportunity to work on their
homework. There is supervision at this time and help is available. Students who do not have
homework will have a choice of reading, writing a story, journal writing, flash cards, or
worksheets. Please feel free to talk with your child's group leader with any questions or
concerns.
