Health
Screening
For a few
days each year, a district nurse comes to our campus to give hearing
and visual screening tests to our students.
TB Skin Test Clinic Schedule 2008-09
California State Law requires that anyone volunteering in a school
setting MUST
have a TB skin test or chest x-ray with negative results
within the last four years.
This includes ALL parents volunteers (classroom
assistants, field trip drivers, Guest Reader, PTA events,
library helpers, etc.).
If you need a TB test or your TB test has expired,
the PUSD Department of Health Services offers TB tests at no cost to
you. Click here to see where the tests are offered: TB
Schedule.pdf
The TB skin test is a two-part process. The first date is
when you are given the test.
You need to return on the second date to have the test
“read.” You must attend BOTH days for your test to
be valid.
Upon completion of your test, please take a copy of your
negative results to the Shoal Creek Office and it will be
given to the TB Coordinator. You may also submit negative test results from your
private physician. If
you submitted your TB test results last year and they are
still valid, you do not need to do it again this year.
