Welcome to Park Village Elementary
School, home of the Penguins. We are
proud to have been selected as a
National Blue Ribbon School of
Excellence for the 2000-2001 school
year. Just over 800 students, grade
K-5, attend the school daily. The
Students come from a wide variety of
cultural backgrounds, with more than
twenty-five languages spoken at our
school. Class size in grades K-3
averages 20 students per class and
grades 4 and 5 have approximately 30
students in each classroom. There is
a gifted program for qualified
students in grades 3, 4, and 5 and a
special education teacher for students. The entire staff is
dedicated to providing a quality
education for all students.
We
also have some wonderful additional
programs offered at Park Village:
ESS (Extended Student Services),
which is a before/after school fee
based childcare program. And an
extensive enrichment program where
students can take classes in
Spanish, gymnastics, wood working,
martial arts and science, just to
name a few. Last year we adopted a
character development program called
Character Counts! The Six
Penguin Pillars serve as our guide
to making good choices at school and
at home. Evidence of Character
Counts can be seen throughout the
campus: murals, classrooms, and on
the playground. This is a great
program! Also, the
PTA and the
PVEEF (Park Village Educational
Foundation) are a very active and
integral part of our school. I
encourage all parents to become
involved with these great
organizations.
I feel honored to be the principal of Park Village Elementary school. I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic team of staff, parents and students. Park Village is a school committed to kids and learning. Working together we can “Make A World of Difference” in the lives of our penguins!
