Park Village Elementary School, located in Rancho Peñasquitos, is one of the largest elementary schools in the District with just under 750 students. Park Village has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon school of excellence for 2000-2001 and a California Distinguished School in May, 2000. The teachers, staff and families of Park Village share a remarkable enthusiasm for educating our children.

We began the school year with 34 classrooms ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. We provide a Resource Specialist Program, a psychologist, and a Speech Pathologist for support of our students with special needs. In addition, our English Language Learner Program supports a number of our students who are learning English.

Park Village is committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring educational program for all our students. It is our goal that our students realize their potential. Our program not only includes an emphasis on academics, but also the development of a strong self esteem, an appreciation of the fine arts, an interest in science and an understanding of technology as an important tool.

Communication and collaboration are key elements to the success of this school. E-mail, voice mail, FLASH (weekly PTA update), Foundation newsletters, student and teacher newsletters, and a yearbook represent a partnership between staff, parents, and students.

Last year PTA and Foundation volunteers provided over 20,000 hours of service and other community members helped enrich student experiences with programs.
