Birthday Recognition

Every student receives a pencil on or near their birthday from Mr. Embry!

Book Fair

Scholastic Books comes to Painted Rock twice a year.

Box Tops for Education

We collect Box Tops from certain grocery items.

Character Counts!

A committee that promotes and teaches the importance of strong character to our students.

Cultural Arts

A parent docent exposes our students to famous artists and then gives them an opportunity to create their own art work.

Dad’s Club

We give dads an opportunity to be on campus during “Lunch with Dad’s Week” and “Dad’s Rock the Classroom.”

Gift Wrap

Students sell wrapping paper, candy, and gift items just in time for the holidays. PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Hospitality

This group takes care of our teachers and staff by providing luncheons.

Jog-a-thon

Kids collect pledges and run laps around the track.

Mother/Daughter Tea

Mother’s and Daughter’s spend an afternoon enjoying high tea.

No TV Week

A week where Panthers turn off the electronics and focus on tech free fun!

Panther Apparel

We sell t-shirts and then show our school spirit by wearing them on Fridays.

Panther Nights Out

Once a month or so, families are asked to have dinner at a specific restaurant, then our PTA gets a percentage of the profits.

Parent-Child Dance

A popular event for Moms and Sons, Dads and Daughters.

Patriotic Celebrations

We decorate the campus with American Flags to show respect for our country.

Phone Mates

A phone book of sorts, for our families at Painted Rock. Each student receives one FREE copy.

Pictograph

This is Painted Rock’s weekly newsletter, sent via EMAIL.

Recycling Program

Save your Ink Jet Cartridges, Plastic Bags, Cell Phones and IPods. We’ll trade them in for cash and help the environment, too!

Red Ribbon Week

A week we designate for drug and alcohol education.

Reflections

A National PTA program that gives our kids the opportunity to express themselves through the arts.

Science Week

A week of school wide activities focusing on science with fun, interactive displays and hands on experiences.

See’s Candy Sale

A “sweet” fundraiser.

Stop Over and Read! Adults make a difference by working individually with readers who need just a bit more support.

Spring Fling/Talent Show

Our springtime carnival which includes a talent show for our little “stars.”

Walk to School Day

Every year in October we support the National Walk to School Day Campaign by encouraging our school community to walk to school.

5th Grade Tree and Clap Out

On Arbor Day the 5th graders will plant a commemorative tree on school property. On the last day of school, the entire student body will make a tunnel, clapping the 5th graders on to middle school.
