Dear Parents, |

|
I’d like to start out by thanking you all for making this a fantastic year. I’ve been a principal for 11 years and can’t ever remember working in such a great place. I have truly enjoyed my first year here and am looking forward to many more. Welcome new staff… As many of you know, four of our fabulous teachers are retiring: Mrs. Self, Mrs. Fredrick, Ms. Davis, and Mrs. Dversdall. With their retirement comes the need to fill their teaching spots for next year. I am pleased to announce that two of our openings were filled on Friday. Mary Beth Schrepferman and Jeanine Mitchell were selected to teach 5th grade next year at Painted Rock. Both of them are experienced teachers in our district and have outstanding reputations. I look forward to having them on our staff and working with your kids. Congratulations 5th graders… Wednesday morning we held our 5th grade promotion ceremony. It was a lot of fun to present awards to our outstanding students and wish all of our fifth graders the best as they continue their educational journey in middle school. In closing, I’d like to wish you all a restful and relaxing summer. It’s been a great year, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all again in August. Sincerely, Sal EmbryPrincipal |

The time has come to say good-bye. . .I’m sure there is something eloquent I could write, some great story I could find that would articulate what I’m feeling right now. But no matter what, I say it comes down to one, simple, heartfelt message. . . Thank you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you to the staff for their constant support and participation. Thank you to the parents and volunteers who helped in a zillion different ways. Thank you to our principal, who came to school every day with our children first and foremost in his mind. You all had a hand in the remarkable year that is now behind us and made a difference at our school; therefore a difference in the lives of our kids. It’s hard for me to imagine that my son and I will not be back for the first day of school in the fall. You have all played a tremendous part in my life; you have impacted me in ways I will never forget. Here’s to new beginnings, new memories, and new adventures.
“I would thank you from the bottom of my heart, but for you my heart has no bottom.” Unknown Wendy DeWildt PTA President |
