The Painted Rock School Foundation welcomes you and your family to the 2012-2013 school year. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization created for the sole purpose of improving the education of every student at Painted Rock. The Foundation Board is a group of parents and staff committed to continuing Painted Rock’s extraordinary level of services. The Foundation is excited to announce our continuing and new events this year:

Panther Café – Coffee and morning treats for sale to parents and students every Friday morning.
252 – This annual campaign is going on now and the proceeds are split with the PTA (see 252 brochure included in your packet for detailed information).
Parent Teacher Octoberfest (Happy Hour) – Spend October 26 mingling with friends, teachers and staff.
Time with Teacher – An online auction (Jan. 28 – Feb. 4) in which you can purchase a special experience for your child with their favorite teacher or staff member.
Auction – This year our auction week will be kicked off with a family event in March.
Jogathon - Is held in May, with the PTA, to help fund our physical education program.

The state government does not provide teachers funds to buy supplies and does not fund a physical education program or reading specialist for our school. The Foundation raises funds to provide our students with a P. E. teacher, impact teachers (both with the PTA), staff support and $20 per student for each teacher to purchase lesson-specific supplies for their classrooms. The Foundation’s key mission is to fund technology in the classroom, including existing programs such as Brain Pop and Brain Pop Jr. We are currently developing the rollout of a mobile tablet lab (35 tablets) to supplement our current computer lab and enhance students' access to technology-driven education programs in the classroom.

The Foundation’s budget for programs and services it supports is close to $100,000 per school year. Since your donations are our only source of income, we ask for your help. Please support our fundraisers and donate.
