Technology Plan

Technology committee

The Pomerado Technology Committee, comprised of the Foundation and Technology Teacher Liaisons, principal, and technology support staff (PUSD LAN Tech and the Computer Resource Assistant) along with parent representatives from the Foundation Board, will oversee implementation and annual review of this plan.

MouseTechnology-assisted instruction at Pomerado Elementary School is being implemented based upon the District Technology Plan and with the goal of assisting students in mastering or expanding proficiency of grade level standards in all curricular areas. The ability to manage technology for the purpose of communication and problem solving are also integrally related to the enhanced quality of our student’s educational experience. All students will have access to computer technology and instruction including GATE, Special Education, Title I, and English Learners.

The technology-assisted instruction plan is founded on five primary areas:

  1. Grade level standards for student use of technology

  2. Professional Standards for staff technology expertise

  3. Standards based curricular projects for each grade level which allow students to apply grade level technology standards

  4. Identified hardware, software and program enhancements to enable students to meet grade level technology standards

  5. Staff Development and training to meet professional technology standards for each staff member
