Prepayment via credit card:
The Food and Nutrition Department is pleased to introduce an exciting
new service for school meal prepayments. Effective immediately, parents
of students can log onto
www.myLunchMoney.com
and prepay for their child’s meals using their Visa or MasterCard. The
charge for this service is a flat fee of $1.95 per credit card
transaction regardless of the amount paid. Parents can also call a toll
free number with questions, or to enroll over the phone, at
1-800-479-3531. We will be providing each school with flyers that can be
used to notify parents.
The online account allows parents to view
their child’s balance and make payments any time of day. Parents can
also set up “one-time” or recurring prepayment transactions. In a future
upgrade, parents will be able to view their child’s meal purchases and
spending history, set limits for meal purchases, and view nutritional
content of their child’s meals.

Technology Plan
Technology-assisted
instruction at Pomerado Elementary School is implemented with the goal of assisting
students in mastering or expanding proficiency of grade level standards in all curricular
areas. The ability to manage technology for
the purposes of communication and problem solving are also integral to the enhanced
quality of our students educational experience.

Character Counts
The
purpose of the CHARACTER COUNTS! is to fortify the lives of America’s
young people with consensus ethical values called the
“Six Pillars of Character.” These values,
which transcend divisions of race, creed, politics, gender and wealth,
are: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility,
fairness, caring and citizenship.
CHARACTER COUNTS! and the
Six Pillars of Character are service marks of the CHARACTER COUNTS!
Coalition, a project of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.

Student Emergency Release
Plan
In the event of an emergency, the students will be kept safely on the
playground until a parent or authorized adult comes to take them home.
The gates to the campus will be locked, so all parents will be asked to
wait by the flag pole until the attendance is taken and the hallways are
safe to pass through. Please park along Pomerado Rd. and walk up to the
front of the school. The Student Release Team will be at the lunch
tables for you to sign out your child. Safety Patrol Members will work
as runners to help retrieve students from the playground.
