4/28/09 Juniors/Seniors - Check your record to see if you have any overdue library/textbooks or fines that will keep you from purchasing your prom ticket. Go to the library catalog, login and if you see RED (indicates an overdue) come and see us.
4/20/09 Celebrate School Library Media Month. Stop by the library to view the new READ contest entrees. Then vote for your favorite. Voting is open to all PHS students and staff through April 30. One vote per person. Prizes will be awarded at the Eye on the Arts, May 20.

2/06/09 Junior Paper Titles from all junior English teachers are now available for browsing. Not sure what you might want to read? Browse this list and then check with your teacher to make sure the choice would work in your class.
1/21/09 Salem Press introduces 2 databases to accompany their reference works. Use the password on the backside of your ID card to access these.

In celebration of Teen Read Week, Oct. 12- 18, 2008:
NAME THAT BOOK Contest
Each school day 3 clues (one clue at 7:00 am, next clue at break and final clue at lunch) will be displayed. Students may guess the title of the book at any time up to the end of lunch. On the library entry form students must write the full title and time of entry. The winner will have the correct title and the earliest time on the entry form. Winners will be notified and prizes awarded the following day.
9/8/08 Free ELECTION COVERAGE RESOURCES: ABC-CLIO has provided our school with free access to their array of Social Science databases until Nov. 4. The username and password are the same as our other subscription databases. To access the special election resources click on the Resource Lists in the left side toolbar of the databases.
