Return the completed packet with 2 original documents proving residency (for example: a utility bill, bank statement, escrow papers, or a rental agreement.). Registration information is also available on the PUSD website at: http://www.powayusd.com/admin/lss/registration/New_Student/. Your student will also need an unofficial copy of his/her transcript and withdrawal grades from the previous school. Proof of immunization is also required before your student can be registered in school.
If the conflict is with a teacher, contact the counseling office at 858-748-0245 ext. 5139. If the conflict is regarding grades, please contact the teacher directly and then, if you are not satisfied, you contact the student's counselor. If the conflict is with another student, please contact the discipline office at 858-748-0245 ext. 5105. Students may also go to the Student Services Office to request adult or trained peer conflict mediators. Call Student Services at 858-748-0245 ext. 5393 for more information.
When a student is absent from school and needs to obtain assignments, parents and students should access www.learningpoint.org. for a list of assignments. If you have difficulty accessing LearningPoint, call 858-748-0245 ext. 5138 and ask for assistance. You may also contact the teacher directly via email or telephone. Please use our web directory for appropriate email addresses and phone extensions.
Students are not required to attend any prep classes to register and take the SAT or ACT.
Check the Titan Center for information on SAT or ACT registration and sample test booklets. Register for the SAT online at www.collegeboard.com or for the ACT at www.actstudent.org .
If you miss the SAT late registration deadline you may be able to test as a standby. Test centers accept standbys on a first-come, first-served basis only if they have sufficient space, test materials, and staff. It is always best, however, to apply by the deadline. See your counselor for registration materials if you are interested in stand-by registration.
