Writing 2.3a. Marshal evidence in support of a thesis and related claims, including information on all relevant perspectives.

Students through practice will be able to write and coherent and logical on demand essay. THis essay is particulary important for the new SAT format.

Stage 2 - Assessment Evidence

Performance Tasks

1. In class discussion we will come up with some of the inherent problems of writing agains the clock. These problems will be written on the board and then discussed. We will discuss strategies for overcoming these obstacles.
2.We will read a series of essays from the College Board for the new SAT essay. We will read the accompanying rubric and will apply the rubric to these essays and discuss why it is that the college board evaluation is as it is and if we matched what the college board had said.
