Camp Human-Kind

Camp Human-Kind will be March 13th-16th at Camp Cedar Glen in Julian.  This is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.  The Camp Human-Kind retreat is a great place for students to learn more about themselves while being able to celebrate the diversity found on our campus.  Activities are centered around:

Participants are encouraged to attend a PLUS activity beforehand but it is not a requirement to attend.  More information will be available closer to the date.  Any questions or concerns can be directed to Traci Barker-Ball, ext. 5393.

 

 

 

 

PHS CAMP HUMAN-KIND

 

What is Camp Human-Kind?

PHS Camp Human-Kind is a 4-day/3-night retreat created for PHS students. The goal of the experience is to celebrate diversity.  Each participant will learn the value of TOLERANCE by sharing with others their own diverse background and learning about other cultures, ethnic groups, religions, financial status, etc.

 

Who can go to CHK?

Every student at PHS is welcome and encouraged to apply. Up to 100 students will be able to go on the retreat. There will be a selection process used to ensure that there is a strong mixture of different races, cultures, religions, and genders.

 

How much does CHK cost?

Pay what you can afford!

The cost per person is $183 but there are scholarships available for people who need financial help.

 

When is CHK being held?

We will leave campus after school on Thursday, March 13, 2008 and arrive back at campus in the afternoon on Sunday, March 16, 2008. (You will miss one day of school on Friday, March 14th)

 

Where is CHK being held?

The camp will be held at Camp Cedar Glen in Julian.

 

Where can I sign up for CHK?
