 Although I was born in Quantico, VA, I was raised in the coastal community of Carlsbad, California. As a child I attended Carlsbad school and graduated from high school in 1985. Next I attended San Diego State University and graduated in 1990 and immediately began my teaching career. Last year I completed my eighteenth year in education before coming to Poway as an assistant principal. In my teaching career I spent time at Carlsbad High School and Rancho Buena Vista High School. More than anything else I taught introductory science classes, a few math and some physical education. The most recent two years in education were spent as an assistant principal in the Anaheim High School District. Prior to my years in administration, I coached both football and baseball for sixteen years. The highlight of my coaching was winning a C.I.F. baseball championship in 2002, defeating Rancho Bernardo for the title. I feel very fortunate and excited to work in this district and especially lucky to be at Poway High School. For years in the other districts, Poway was the envy of the county. Go Titans!
