Students will:
1) Understand and practice successful attitudes in the workplace.
2) Understand and practice successful interpersonal skills.
3) Use the classroom as a model for the workplace as well as forward thinking for students to display this demeanor.
Set up two students to create a roll playing scenario (2 minute)of an inappropriate behavior or attitude that is counter productive to the workplace. Could also demonstrate an administrator and student illustrating the same scenario.
1) Discussion after role playing. This includes student responses and their active involvement in resolving the matter and creating usage of the six pillars in their decision making.
2) Students could also write short essays to utilize for their personal portfolios.
3) Students set up a jigsaw. Divide students into six different groups to work on the six different pillars at once. Students have markers at the table and each go through one pillar at a time. This way students have the opportunity to voice their individual opinions and listen to all students involved.
1) Teachers and students utilize the white board for display of information and ideas.
2) ROP "job finders guide". Reference page 2, "a winning attitude".
3) Flip Charts and Magic Markers for Jigsaw.
4) Character Pillars for display in classroom.
5.4 Demonstrate an understanding of the various skills of an artist, art critic, art historian, art collector, art gallery owner, and philosopher of art (aesthetician).
