Pedestrian Safety

Please have a discussion with your student regarding pedestrian safety. We are noticing that our students are not observing the traffic lights and are crossing streets when it is not safe. Remind them to watch the “walk/don’t walk” lights at all intersections, and to make eye contact with drivers before crossing. Thank you for helping to keep our kids safe.

Gifted and Talented Education Testing

Parents may request GATE testing for students in grades 2-7.  To request GATE testing for your child, complete a GATE Parent Questionnaire/Test Consent form online through the PUSD GATE webpage (http://www.powayusd.com/Depts/LSS/GATE/), or in your child’s school office. Requests for GATE Testing will only be taken until November 30, 2009.  If you have any questions regarding testing please contact Devora Garrison dgarrison@powayusd.com.
