We are dedicated to the intellectual and personal development of
all students by providing an academically challenging curriculum within a
nurturing, respectful environment.
We want your child’s experience at Oak Valley Middle School to be
positive! Good lines of communication are an important part of this. This
Family Handbook contains information that will help you throughout the year.
Each Friday, we send out our Weekly Update email. This update includes
upcoming events at our school and important calendar dates. You can also

Casey Currigan's Bio
After graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Mr. Currigan taught science at Marston Middle School for seven years. He earned his Masters Degree in Educational Technology from National University and an Administrative Credential from San Diego State. He spent 2005 as the Dean of Students at Marston and in 2006 joined PUSD as an Assistant Principal. For the last six years he has worked at Black Mountain Middle School until he was announced as Principal of Oak Valley in May of 2012.
Mr. Currigan has been married to his wife Deanne for 13 years and has two daughters Zoe and Phoebe. Outside of school he enjoys riding his bike and spending time with his family, cycling, surfing and photography.
