Summer School

Summer school for Middle School students will be held from Wednesday, June 18, 2008 – Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 8:00 am – 12:10 pm. Oak Valley students will attend summer school at Mesa Verde Middle School. Students are recommended for summer school based on the following criteria:

• Low performance on the California Standards Test in Language Arts or Mathematics
• Low performance on Poway Unified School District’s Measure of Academic Progress (MAPs)
• Inadequate academic progress on his/her report card
• Teacher recommendations

If your child requires an intervention in either language arts or mathematics, then attendance will be required for only two hours. Current 8^th grade students will attend summer school at the high school they will be attending next school year.
