Counseling Vision

The Poway Unified School District Counseling Program is recognized for its comprehensive K-12 guidance services.  The school community takes pride in its exemplary program based and evaluated on national standards that include academic, career, and personal/social development.

Counselors provide and direct proactive and

preventive guidance services.  As advocates

for students, counselors are respected

collaborators with teachers, parents, and

administrators and are accessible to all students.

We encourage and support students to become aware of their own attributes, set personal success goals, develop effective communication and mediation skills, build positive relationships with diverse populations, and be able to adapt to an ever-changing society.
