QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind
word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act
of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life
around.
~ Leo Buscaglia
NEW MRES WEBSITE COMING SOON
We are in the process of revamping and redesigning our school
website. Stay tuned for added features and a whole new look.
SAFETY PATROL
Our Safety Patrol is continuing to do a fabulous job. However,
cars are continuing to park in the red zone on both sides of the
road. Please remember that there is no parking anywhere in the
red zones outside the bus loop or in front of the school. In
addition, there is NO LEFT turn when exiting the bus loop.
Thanks for continuing to ensure the safety of all of our
students.
ADOBE GRANT
I am pleased to announce that last week we received a $2100
grant from Adobe Software. The programs we received included
Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Thanks Donna
Liebrecht for all your hard work!
VETERAN’S DAY
Don’t forget that there is no school on Tuesday, November 11 due
to Veteran’s Day.
COMPASS LEARNING
Our new Compass Learning (CL) intervention/enrichment program
begins today and I am thrilled to share with you the details of
how it will work. Each round of CL will last approximately five
weeks. All children that are in this first session will receive
notification from us. Many of you already sent back your
permission form. If you have not, please return it asap. We will
assign times for students to use the program from 8:15 am up
until 7:00 PM each day Monday through Thursday. We will have a
before and after school program in our lab and provide
opportunities for students to use the program during the evening
via the internet. Unless you receive notification from us your
child should not access the program any time between 8:15 AM and
7:00 PM M-Th.
However, ANY child in grades 1-5 may access the program after
7:00 PM Monday through Thursday, after school on Friday and all
day Saturday and Sunday.
