FUN RUN COMING SOON – ARE YOU READY TO DO RUN AND HAVE SOME FUN?
Our Sixth Annual Monterey Ridge PTA Fun Run will be held on
Wednesday, March 14th. Pledge forms will be sent home on Monday, January
30th. Students can earn a special edition Spirit Wear T-shirt and choose
between a hat and a pullover sweatshirt if they raise $50 or more! Pledge
forms and money will be due back by Friday, February 10th. Many volunteers
are needed before and on the day of the event. Business Owners, become a Fun
Run sponsor and have your logo showcased on our Fun Run T-shirts. If you
would like to volunteer or become a sponsor, please contact Julie Golich at

OVMS BAND AND ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE
We are very excited that the Oak Valley Middle School band and orchestra
will once again be performing for our 4th and 5th graders in the MPR on
Thursday, Feb. 9 from 2:00-2:30.
SCIENCE FAIR A HUGE SUCCESS
Our Science Fair was a HUGE success! This was our biggest fair ever with
over 200 projects. We are very proud of our budding scientists and we can’t
wait for next year’s event .
SMENCILS ON SALE BEFORE SCHOOL – LAST WEEK FOR SALES
SMENCILS are back by popular demand. They will be sold beginning this week
before school for $1 in front of the school.
HEALTH OFFICE NEEDS
We are in great need of latex free band aids and tissues for the health
office. Any donations are voluntary, and, of course, GREATLY appreciated.
TALENT SHOW IS COMING
Our 4th Annual Talent Show is gearing up! It’s time to start practicing and
planning an act for the show, which is scheduled for March 23rd. Stay tuned
for more information about the planning meeting.
MRES SECOND ANNUAL SWEETHEART DANCE – HELP NEEDED
Our 2nd annual sweetheart dance is scheduled for February 10th from 6-8 PM.
WANTED: Committee Chair's for the 2nd annual MRES Sweetheart's Dance! This
year is going to be even better than the last! Would you like to help make
