SPIRIT DAY
Friday, January 30 is Pajama Day.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Student Council will be selling Valentine Smencil-grams beginning this week.
The cost will be $1 per gram. They will be delivered the week before
vacation.
FRIDAY FLAG
Last week we had to cancel Friday Flag because of the rain. Certificates for
our Butterfly Catch winners were delivered to classrooms. Celebrity Club
winners will be acknowledged at this week's ceremony.
GREEN OK PACKETS START NEXT WEEK
This is the last week that we will send home paper OK packets to all of our
students. Beginning next week the OK Packet will become the E-Packet and
will be available electronically through our website
(www.powayusd.com/pusdmres). We have been testing out the process each week.
You are welcome to see a preview by visiting our PTA website at
http://www.mrespta.org/epackets. Once we make the switch we will send you a
ConnectEd email each Wednesday with a link to our website where the packet
will be available in a PDF format. A big thank you is owed to the PTA for
all of their hard work in helping make the transformation a reality.
NEXT WEEK IS STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
February 2-6 is Staff Appreciation week. The PTA has events planned
throughout the week to celebrate ALL of our excellent staff. For more
information please talk to the room parent for your child's classroom or to
a PTA member. I hope you will take a moment to say thanks to your child's
teacher and all of other staff for the incredible work they do each and
every day.
