COOL LINK ON OUR WEBSITE TO TRACK OUR SOLAR ENERGY PANELS
As you all know we are very lucky to be able to derive a significant amount
of our energy from our solar panels. We now have a link on our website that
allows you to monitor the level of energy our panels are producing and how
much of that energy is fueling our classrooms. The link is very kid friendly
and can be found at the bottom of our homepage. Check it out!
PARENT BUDGET INFORMATIONAL MEETING WITH DR. JOHN COLLINS
John Collins, the Deputy Superintendent of Poway Unified School District,
will be presenting a Parent Budget Informational Meeting on Tuesday April
28, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Stone Ranch Elementary Theatre.
He will be presenting information regarding the specific cuts we are facing
in our district. A flyer will be in this week’s e-Packet.
STAR TESTING BEGINS THIS WEEK
STAR testing begins this week. All 2nd – 5th graders will be taking the
state standardized test beginning this week. Please make sure that your
child is at school on time. Students who are late will not be able to enter
their classroom once the test has begun and will need to take a make up test
which changes the atmosphere our students are used to learning in. Please
ensure that your child’s routine remains the same as usual and that they eat
a healthy breakfast and get a good night sleep. Changes in routine often
cause anxiety and we want to ensure as much continuity with your child as
possible. Testing will continue into early next week. As always, thanks for

KINDERGARTEN/PEPP INFORMATION MEETING
We will be hosting a K/PEPP parent meeting on Thursday, May 7 from 6:00-7:00
PM in the MPR to provide an opportunity to share information about our
school, meet the K/PEPP team and give an overview of our program.
