MCHS Horizon Yearbook is an award-winning publications course designed for those students who are willing to make a yearlong commitment to a publication staff, learn academic and technological skills, and apply those skills to the production of a respected publication. Students who are selected are willing to be a team player and learn all facets of great publishing. This commitment also provides entry-level skills for future endeavors in the printing and publishing industry. In addition, the leadership skills and teamwork abilities look great on the college applications! Guest speakers and field trips to various publishers are also planned for the yearbook staff. Computer credit, elective credit, or practical art credit can be earned with this course. Great news - The Horizon Yearbook is published online! Get into it! If you like photography and journalism, join the Horizon Yearbook Staff as a photojournalist!
