This online exhibit features National Archives propaganda posters and sound files used
by the United States Government to explain and promote the war effort in Europe and the
Pacific. It is divided into two parts: the first is designed to instill patriotism; the
second, to show the horrors of war.

good feel for the mood of this period before America, as a nation, was directly involved
