 TB Test Requirements

Parent volunteers are required to have TB tests every four years.  PUSD offers TB tests free of charge to schools and parent volunteers.

The PUSD Health Services TB clinics are open to current PUSD employees and school volunteers ONLY. Employees must have proof of employment (ID badge, TB expiration notice, or pay warrant). Volunteers must have Volunteer Verification Form (obtain from school site).

PLEASE NOTE!
The TB Skin Test provided by PUSD is a two-step process:
Step 1 - Obtaining Skin Test
Step 2 - Reading of Skin Test (48 hours later)
You must complete both steps for your test to be valid. Tests results are good for 4 years.

If you have questions please contact Health Services @ (858) 668-4132

If you are acutely ill, have been diagnosed with tuberculosis, have had a live vaccine (MMR) within the last four weeks, or are undergoing immunosuppressive therapy, contact a Resource Nurse at Health Services (858-668-4132) PRIOR to attending a clinic.
