EXTENDED STUDENT SERVICES

PROGRAM POLICIES

 

1.      Invoices are sent at least one week before the 1st of the month.  Payment is due on the first day of each month.  A late payment fee of $20.00 will be assessed on past due accounts on the 15th of each month.

 

2.      The registration fee is nonrefundable and not applicable to monthly fees. 

 

3.      The returned check fee is $20.00 for each occurrence.  Payment must be made immediately using a cashier’s check or money order.  After two returned checks, all payments must be paid by cashier’s check, money order or credit card each month thereafter. 

 

4.      CASH Payments will NOT be accepted at the school site.

 

5.      Vacations credits are for FULL TIME CONTRACTS ONLY. Vacations will be taken in five consecutive days only. Vacation credits will require two weeks written notice. 

 

6.      A 30-day delinquent account will result in your child’s(ren’s) immediate withdrawal from ESS until the entire overdue balance is paid in full.

 

7.      There are no refunds for absence due to partial attendance or illness. 

 

8.      A late pick-up fee of $1.00 per minute, per child, will be assessed when children remain past closing time.  Failure to adhere to program operating hours may lead to program dismissal.

 

9.      If the ESS staff is unsuccessful in contacting an authorized person(s) to pick up a child one hour after closing, “Child Protective Services” may be called for assistance.

 

10.  A two-week written notice will be required before withdrawing from the ESS program.  If two weeks written notice is not received, two weeks fees will be charged. 

 

11.  *Children must be signed in and out of the ESS program each day.  Written authorization is required to release a child to another adult.  This adult will be required to show identification.

 

12.  The children who attend the ESS program will be required to follow the school rules. Children may be excluded from the program for failure to meet behavioral expectations.

 

13.  Children who are vomiting or with a temperature of 100° or above, must remain at home for at least 24 hours fever free.  

 

14.  The ESS program and staff will not be held liable for student injuries or student property misplaced or stolen while in attendance at ESS.

 

15.  The above service is subject to availability at the particular elementary school site and to the District’s right to discontinue these services at a particular school site.  If the services are not available or are discontinued at a particular site, the above shall be applicable at another site (subject to availability).  The primary function of the ESS program is to provide services to the parents and/or children attending elementary schools within the Poway Unified School District.
