2013 Ride Across California
Join other Fifth-graders in the Poway Unified School District and alumni who have ridden before participate in the 23rd annual Ride Across California (RAC) River to Riptide Bike Tour, which will takes place March 24-30, 2013.
Enjoy Ghost stories, camping under the stars and reveling in sand and grime which becomes an integral part of the experience during the Ride Across California, sponsored by Rancho Family YMCA Bike Club.
The ride starts just east of the California border, in Yuma, Ariz. After dipping their front tires in the Colorado River, students will head across the desert, traveling through Imperial/Brawley, Ocotillo Wells, Julian, Santa Ysabel, Mesa Grande and Ramona, ending at Carlsbad State Beach. Participants camp in tents and stay at schools en route.
Thursday the 30th of August 2012 we will have our 2013 RAC kick off meeting at Mesa Verde Middle School from 7:00 to 8:00 pm
