Deer Canyon Elementary Foundation
Fall 2008 Rummage Sale

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Area: Deer Canyon Elementary School Parking Lot

The Deer Canyon Foundation Rummage Sale is happening THIS SATURDAY, October 4th from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm!! Don’t miss out for shopping the bargains, or better yet selling your wares to make some HOLIDAY money!! It's not too late to turn your trash into treasure, and clean out your garage to sell your stuff.

The price for a spot in the Deer Canyon parking lot is only $20 and you get to keep all the profits! Plus, you'll be supporting Deer Canyon's outstanding student enrichment programs in the areas of the Arts, Music, Physical Education, and Science and Technology.

If you would like to donate items for the Rummage Sale including children's clothes, toys, Halloween costumes, housewares, etc., we are accepting donations either the morning of the event, Saturday, October 4th or the night before Friday, October 3rd. If you have something large like furniture to donate, please try to bring it before 7:30 am Saturday morning. This is your chance to clean out your closets, and leave the rest to us!

ALL profits from the donations will go directly into the Foundation for use in Deer Canyon School's programs.

Shopping is FREE and starts at 8:00 am. There will be food and drinks available as well. Come out and join the community as we all work together to build a better Foundation.

  1. Rental cost of the space is $20.00.
  2. A LIMITED supply of 12’ TABLES are available for $15.00.
  3. Set-up from 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. – Cars MUST be out of the parking lot by 7:45. For safety purposes, sale cannot open until ALL cars are out. Please let those from your group know this. If they come after 7:45 to drop off goods, they will have to park out on the street and carry the items.
  4. Advertising is provided by the Foundation.
  5. All set-up, including tables and chairs will be supplied by the individual sellers.
  6. There shall be no sales of weapons or explosives, including knives and fireworks.
  7. Any items not sold, and all trash, must be removed from the premises by 12:30 p.m. The foundation will provide a truck (most likely AmVets(DAV) to remove saleable items.  You may need to assist in loading your goods onto these trucks.
  8. If you have leftover items, one member from your group MUST stay until the truck picks up your goods. You are responsible for removing anything the truck will not take from the parking lot.
