Jump in and Join the PTA!
Welcome to Deer Canyon Elementary School. Deer Canyon PTA invites you to join us to make a difference in the education and quality of life for all children. We realize how important your children are to you and that you want the best for them. The PTA can help you achieve that!
We all know children learn more and have better lives when parents, school staff, students and the community work together. PTA can bring these groups together to share thoughts and ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. Our PTA provides information and resources that strengthen the connections between children, parents and the community.
Please take a few minutes to explore all the wonderful activities and enrichment programs planned for 2009-2010. It is truly amazing that with your help and support, we are able to
provide our children with all of this.
What do we need to make all of this happen? WE NEED YOU! We need you to volunteer at our school and participate in our fundraisers. In this package, you will find information on our annual PTA membership drive and how to participate in our “No Fuss” Fundraising drive. Although we will accept memberships throughout the year, our official membership drive ends Friday,
September 11th.
For the next three weeks, the excitement of the membership drive will include:
Weekly random drawing for student prize packs – three winners per week!
The sooner you join the more chances your child has to win. There’s one entry for every member-ship, so if both parents join, your child’s chance to win the weekly drawing are doubled!
THREE GRAND PRIZES:
Popsicle Party for your child’s classroom
Plus a $25 gift card to Office Depot for your teacher!
The grand prize drawings will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, September 18th. Winners will be awarded to the K-2nd, 3rd-5th & ASD Classes & Preschool with the highest percentage of parents with PTA memberships.
The attached papers also contain important information about how to have your child listed in the Student Directory, volunteer opportunities, yearbooks and some easy “free” ways to help earn money for Deer Canyon.
