This will be my fifth year teaching at Creekside. I have lived in Poway all my life except the four years I attended UC Irvine where I was an Economics major with a minor in German Literature. In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking (which my husband Jim loves), and playing tourist in San Diego with my nieces and nephew.

I have been in education for 13 years - teaching 1st grade, 2nd grade and Adult ESL in the Poway Unified School District. My husband, two children and I love spending time together going camping, fishing, surfing and skiing. I am a proud soccer and baseball mom, too!  I'm looking forward to a great year with a class full of adorable faces. Thank you for sharing your precious children with me!

This is my 11th year teaching at the elementary level.9 of those years within the district at Deer Canyon Elementary. Both my husband and I grew up in Poway and now we are raising our two children, Trevor and Taylor, in our hometown!  My husband and I are both PHS grads, and I have a BA from CSU Hayward and Master's in Education from SDSU. When I'm not teaching you can find me and my family playing at a local park or the beach!
