Maria Anthony

I have been teaching for over fourteen years.  My career in Poway began at Meadowbrook Middle School where I taught most subjects to 6th graders.  I love my job and I enjoy helping my students enjoy school.  It is my priority to make learning “fun” and challenging.  I look at myself as a mentor and coach, as well as a teacher.      

During my free time, I read, exercise and enjoy crafts. I love to travel and in addition to Europe, I hope to visit Africa and Asia one day.

Hala Bushra

My name is Hala Bushra, I have been fortunate to join the Poway Unified School District staff in 1995.  My experience has been at the elementary level 2nd through 6th. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and I have a Masters degree in Education. Teaching is my passion, it is a very rewarding job; I spend my day working closely with kids, and love watching them grow and gain confidence. I have two sons;  both graduated and one married . Since both of my sons are young men now, I devote my full time attention to my school kids. I’m looking forward to a great school year with your child!

Andrea Callum

Originally, I hail from Ohio, but I've been in the beautiful San Diego area for twenty-one years. Currently, I live in Rancho Bernardo with my wonderful husband and one son who is a senior at Rancho Bernardo High.  My other son is a freshman in college this year.  Boy, does time fly!  I was a stay-at-home mom for two years, ran a home day care for five years, and returned to school for a teaching credential and master's degree in my 30's...better late than never :)   Teaching is my love and passion, and I can't wait to meet your young Creekside Geckos!

Christina Gonzalez

This Boston girl has moved around a lot, so I have taught in many different places such as Pasadena, Monterey, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami.  My husband and I, along with our two children, are happy to call San Diego home!  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Reading.  In my spare time I chase after my children, read, and run (to Starbucks).
