OUR NEWEST BOBCAT!

During our Welcome Back Assembly, Dr. Johnson introduced students to our newest and youngest Bobcat.  This baby Bobcat was adopted by Dr. Johnson on behalf of Bernardo Heights Middle School as our own “real” mascot.

He was found by a truck driver on the side of the road last spring while coming across the mountains.  Thinking the kitten had been abandoned, he took him home to his family in Anaheim.  Within a few days they realized this was no ordinary kitten.  The family took the bobcat to the Lions, Tigers, and Bears Sanctuary in Alpine where he will be cared for and live hopefully for many years.  Since he has been adopted for our school we will have a “naming contest” and the sanctuary will send us updates about him throughout the year.

Stay tuned for updates on our little guy.
