SUPPLEMENTAL/HOURLY PROGRAMS
The Board of Education believes
that early identification and intervention with strong parent support is essential to assure
that all students meet the established grade level standards.
The Board of Education hereby authorizes the development of procedures to provide a strong
support intervention program for students in danger of not meeting the established grade level
standards. These programs will include early identification, early notification of
parents, and appropriate interventions which involve parents.
A variety of assessment measures will be used to determine the students' grade-level
competency. When students fail to make progress toward grade-level standards in any
grade, appropriate interventions will be provided. If students do not fully reach
grade-level standards through an intervention program, they may be recommended for retention
or may be promoted to the next grade with mandatory instructional assistance.
