PUSD Summer School Information for 2009
HIGH SCHOOL COURSES
Credit Acceleration through On-site and Online Courses
Poway Adult School will be offering several fee-based high school courses this summer. The fee for each semester-equivalent course is $194, and all courses offered earn Poway Unified School District high school credit.
2nd Session registration deadline is July 10th. A minimum number of students is required. These classes are subject to cancellation if under-enrolled. Enroll now!

Registration will open Monday, May 18, 2009. Students may register on-line, by phone, or in person. Enrollment in classes will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Students interested in classes should visit
powayadultschool.com or call the Poway Adult School office at (858)668-4024.
Please note: Some of the courses may be offered on-line. Students enrolled in on-line courses will be required to attend school at least one day a week.
Need-based scholarships are available to provide full or partial payment for these accelerated summer school classes. Please contact Mary Perez, Adult School Counselor, at (858)668-4015 for scholarship eligibility criteria and application information.
Additionally, high school students who wish to take general education summer school classes can enroll at accredited, fee-based schools that meet the criteria for PUSD courses.
Palomar Community College, National University Virtual High School, and Brigham Young High School On-Line offer classes that have met PUSD credit criteria and have been used successfully by students in the past.Please check with your high school Registrar as soon as possible to ensure that the course you select has been previously accepted for credit by Poway Unified School District. Summer school course registrations at any institution must be approved by your Principal before a student takes the course.
Course selection and payment of fees is the responsibility of the student and his/her family.
