New Directions is the independent study program in the Poway Unified School District and is connected to each PUSD school. New Directions is designed to provide students an opportunity to meet middle and high school requirements independently from the regular classroom setting. Each student's academic, emotional and social needs are met in a caring, non-threatening environment. Independent study offers flexibility as its key aspect to encourage the success of every student entering the program.
