As we work towards literacy for each
student and grapple with numerous state standards, mathematics
teachers across the District are engaged in collaborative
dialogue around what is important for our students to know and
be able to do.
- A K-12 Essential Learnings Task
Force has been convened to identify those learnings crucial to
each grade level in mathematics, writing, and reading.
- On the secondary mathematics
front, representatives from each middle school and high school are
focusing on Algebra. Exemplar documents have been aligned to state
standards and augmented with additional sample problems for grades
6 through Algebra.
