Today’s colleges require that students are adept at using the Web as a tool for research. Presenters share techniques for designing project-based curricula for students that integrate Web use with academic projects.

21st Century Skills This site details a process for teaching information literacy skills. How to Embed Video in Classroom Presentations: techLearning article describes how to incorporate video in presentations including steps and screen shots for PowerPoint and AppleWorks.

Citation Machine . This site has a built in form (FREE) where students can type in the author’s name, date of publishing, etc. and click submit. After doing that they will see citations for both MLA and APA Style.

Academy of Achievement: Great interviews, movies, text from living authors, scientists, etc. Download movies in a variety of formats (see help sheet on CD).

Way Back Machine: - The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public (searchable).

Find Sounds: Search the web for sounds in all formats (see seminar CD for information on file formats for use in PowerPoint).

Free Play Music: Sound files for downloading (see seminar CD for information on file formats for use in PowerPoint).
