There are couple of
objectives in module 1. You will be introducing yourself to your peers, evaluating
your own educentric techno-readiness, and getting familiar with the tools. Never heard of
"educentric" staff development? You are about to experience it.
Task 1:
Meet The Gang
(Estimated Time =
1hr) |
|
- Open the discussion
board, and post a new thread that introduces yourself on the board.
Make sure that the thread is located in the Craft Module 1 forum.
Unfortunately, using the discussion board is not intuitive, so be sure to read the
instructions on how to effectively navigate the board.
- Magnetic Words/Phrases: View the set of
words/phrases below, and identify one word on the list that attracts you and one word that
you are repelled by. Use the discussion board to tell
your peers which words you have chosen and explain why.

Task 2: Self Evaluation
(Estimated Time = 1
1/2hr)
|
Due March 26 |
- To this point, the course has attempted
to weave together three main threads: student inquiry , classroom learning environment,
and teacher techno-savvy. It is your turn to express what you believe are
"essential" understandings in module 1. Visit the on-line discussion board
and share your thoughts with the group. Make sure you post your new thread
to the Craft Module 1 forum.
- Please reply to at
least one other group member. (Don't create a new thread. Use the reply button.)
Task 3:
Feedback
(Estimated Time =
1/2hr) |
Due March 27 |
How did week one go? I
would like to get your feedback on content, timing, and your impressions to this point.
