Add a pinch of wisdom from the masters, a dash of example online activities, and a pound of many teacher's classroom experience, and what do you get: The Craft of Teaching with the Web.

This course has been designed in four one-week modules, and each module  requires 3 hours to complete.  You will be part of a team, so it is important that you are willing to work with other teachers to both expand your "craft" and lend support to others.   Here is a quick outline of each module.

Module 1: Getting Started Starting July 1

The goal is to get to know our team, evaluate your own skills, and investigate the ideal Web-based learning environment.

Module 2: Is It Worth It? Starting July 12

Any good project starts with a strong foundation.  Judi Harris will help you learn about Virtual Architecture.   You will be looking at an example project, and applying the "worth it test" to your own work.

Module 3: Six Paths Starting  July 19

Different architectural structure will produce different student learning.  You will be evaluating several different activities for their learning outcomes.  You will also begin developing a topic idea for your own classroom.

Module 4: The Tools Starting  July 26

You may decide to start a project from scratch or find an existing one. Either way, there are many tools on the web that can enhance your experience.  You will be reviewing these few applications.
