As the mayor of Seaside, you goal is to listen to the people of Seaside. What are there needs? How will the plant benefit Seaside? How will it hurt Seaside?

1. Investigate the job opportunities the plant would bring to Seaside. Include type, salary, and number.
2. What community service will the plant provide to Seaside. New parks, road improvement, sewer system upgrade and many others.
3. Create a detailed, 4 step, process on how the town should proceed.
4. Create two more question your group feels are critical from your perspective.

Values Assessment

1. What public values or beliefs underlie nuclear power, and might create a bais one way or the other on the importance of nuclear power in the U.S.

Action Plan

You must now present your Special Report to the town in the form of a brief (10 minute) informational summary of your findings. Remember, not everyone understands nuclear power and there exists many misconceptions about it.

Presentation Advice

Because your task is to create a concise presentation, consider the following strategy:

1. Prioritize what you think the most important issues are. This will take some detailed and supported discussion among team members.
2. Identify the two or three most important issues.
3. Develop a main strategy that addresses these top two - three issues.
4. Order a series of steps that shows the Action Plan you suggest Seaside should take.
5. Explain where compromises took place and why you made the decisions you did. For example, if you choose to promote business investment, show why this is more important than focusing first on the effects on the environment.
6. Create an informative and engaging presentation of your "Special Report." You can do this with Power Point and/or butcher paper diagrams and charts.

1. State Title and Author of artifact
2. Cut and paste the excerpt from the artifact and transfer in to a word-processing application

5. State why this information supports our task.

A brief statement answering the questions asked in your dossier. Write a solid value assessment.
