On your own -
You have to go to :
Finding our PUSD Middle
School standards and technology standards. To navigate there, got to the PUSD
main page> Teaching and Learning> Academic Standards> There are lots of resources already available for you and your students on the Prentice Hall Web Site - Let's take a tour.
Let's go to Course1, Teacher. Then click on a chapter. You will see a "Chapter Overview" which describes:
FIRST: In the left margin, click on "Teaching Links". They have done work for you of finding websites that are appropriate to your students, which correlate to the chapter you are working in. There are some amazing REAL WORLD applications available there! NEXT: In the left margin click on "Internet Activities". This is very cool! There are online activities in which students practice the skills they are learning in the textbook chapter, using some outside web resources. There are also teaching notes that describe how the project may be presented, managed and scored. As if
that's not enough! Click on to "Student Site". On this part of the
web page, you can view student links, AND the kids can take a quiz to test their knowledge
that is instantly corrected for them.
