site. The current map will have icons that you can click to read
full reports on all events.

NASA's
Goddard Institute for Space Studies Institute on
Climate and Planets presents an excellent learning
module titled:
Earth Climate Course: What Determines a Planet's
Climate?

The Futures Channel internet site
provides short videos highlighting real world science
careers. They also create four page teaching guides to
build a curricular connection with concepts featured in
the video. Sign up to receive a newsletter with teaching
ideas and an announcement of the movie of the week. Here
is a link to all the
science movies at this site. You'll especially
enjoy the one of
Amar Bose describing how he determined
the best solution for blocking unwanted noise in
headphones.

Intute Interactive Chemistry Tutorials: this
site provides 92 pages of unique problems and
detailed solutions that support students in their
study of chemistry. It was created by CSU, Dominguez
Hills. It is the sole copyright of George Wiger.
Intute has permission to post the exercises and
tutorials on its website.

Chemistry PowerPoint lessons and instructional
resources (including labs)

Virtual Chemistry Textbook: This is a great
virtual chemistry textbook created by Professor
Stephen Lower of Simon Fraser University. It
"virtually" replaced a hardcopy text for his
courses. It also includes links,
tutorials, and exercises.

Human Genome Project maintains an extensive
website for educational resources.

American Museum of Natural History has an entire
website,
"Ology" dedicated to the great "ologies" such as
paleontology, astronomy, marine biology, and more.

The mission of this center from the
University of Santa Cruz is: "to research, develop
and advance sustainable food and agricultural
systems that are environmentally sound, economically
